In the European Commission’s ERASMUS+ project “Young People - The Future Civic Monitors (CIVIC EU)”, the Greek organization 4C Cooperate Communicate Create Change implemented the civic monitoring of different areas of civic life, which is composed of three monitoring reports from July to September 2023. On December 2023, a completed Policy Report was published, including the monitoring work of the five groups.
This report presents the resulting results from innovative pilot actions of "Civic Monitoring" which were carried out in the framework of a European project of 2023, in in which five countries participate. This report aims to provide a brief overview of these participation experiences of young people and identify challenges and lessons learned by the consortium. Detailed information about the work of each of the five monitoring groups is available in their final reports, to which this policy report is linked.
The reports also focus on the provision of useful suggestions for future similar initiatives at the local or European level. The tables below present the positive factors (strengths), the difficulties (weaknesses) and the suggestions for improvement that emerged during the activities.
